Terms and Conditions for Spic&Span Ironing Service
- Spic&Span Strijkservice offers ironing services based on one-time orders or subscriptions.
- The services are provided through a paper or electronic form (registration form).
- The contract is personal and linked to the customer's address, without the possibility of monthly termination or entering into a new contract for the same address. Changes are treated as a transfer to a new contract.
- The costs for the services are determined by the company and are listed on the website; all prices include VAT.
- Promotional discounts cannot be combined; only one discount can be applied per order.
- The invoice is automatically sent to the email address provided in the form. If a paper version is needed, please inform us.
- If the order is not picked up on time, we will send a reminder. Uncollected goods will be kept for 3 months and then donated to charity.
- Services are provided according to the recommendations on the label.
- Shirts and blouses are ironed with flat sleeves, pants without creases.
- Clothing (shirts, blouses, dresses, pants, skirts) is hung on hangers.
- You can use our hangers (with a deposit) or bring your own. The deposit will be refunded when the hangers are returned.
- The customer brings the laundry at their own risk.
- The customer must provide an inventory of the laundry handed over to Spic&Span Strijkservice.
- Spic&Span Strijkservice guarantees careful handling of the laundry provided but is not liable for damages caused by:
- Failure to follow care instructions (or their absence);
- Poor fabric quality or manufacturing defects;
- Wear and tear, color fading, shrinkage, or changes in fabric structure;
- The presence of foreign objects that cause damage;
- Insufficient strength or poor quality of finishes (buttons, zippers, sequins, etc.).
- The customer delivers the ironing items at their own risk.
- Complaints must be submitted in writing via email within 14 days of receiving the laundry. After this period, complaints will no longer be processed.
- For a complaint about loss, complete information about the lost item must be provided.
- After confirming the complaint, Spic&Span Strijkservice will conduct an internal investigation and search for 1 month.
- After the investigation, the company will inform the customer about the results.
- Spic&Span Strijkservice is not liable for the loss of items unless it is proven that the loss is due to the company's fault.
- Damage to an item must be reported in writing with photos within 2 weeks after receiving the completed laundry. Complaints will not be processed after this period.
- After confirming the complaint, Spic&Span Strijkservice will conduct an internal investigation for 1 month.
- In the case of confirmed damage caused by Spic&Span Strijkservice, compensation will be provided up to a maximum of 60% of the item's value, taking depreciation into account. A refund is only possible with a receipt or other proof of value.
- If you accidentally received someone else's item, please contact us as soon as possible.
- All disputes are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
- The customer reports the issue in writing via email to Spic&Span Strijkservice. Spic&Span Strijkservice investigates the situation and offers possible solutions.
- Both parties will try to resolve the dispute peacefully through negotiations and offering solutions.
- If the parties cannot reach an agreement, the independent Textile Cleaning Dispute Committee can be engaged to help resolve the dispute.
- In case of payment arrears, the company has the right to suspend services until the outstanding payment is settled. If payment and communication with the customer are not received within 1 month, the company reserves the right to transfer the debt to a collection agency.
- In the event of a refusal to pay the invoice, the company has the right to transfer the customer’s debt to a collection agency.
- The ironing service guarantees order completion within 3 working days.
- For urgent orders, the order will be ready within 24 hours, and can only be picked up on location.
- For express ironing, the order will be ready within one working day, and can only be picked up on location.
- Payment for individual orders is due upon receipt of the order according to the invoice.
- The customer can pick up and drop off the order at our location (2553 GJ Abdijbrink 3, Den Haag) during office hours or opt for pick-up and delivery by the ironing service.
- Free delivery for orders of €75 or more within a 10 km radius of our location (2553 GJ Abdijbrink 3, Den Haag). For orders under €75, a delivery fee of €7 per visit within 10 km from our location applies, plus €1 per additional km.
- If there is a change or cancellation of delivery, the customer must notify the ironing service via WhatsApp no later than 24 hours before the scheduled time.
- If Spic&Span Strijkservice arrives at your door and you are not home without notice, an additional €5 will be added to the invoice as compensation for unnecessary costs.
- In case of failed delivery, the order can be picked up at our location during office hours. Re-delivery is not possible.
- The ironing service delivers only to the ground floor entrance. For apartments, delivery will be made to the entrance if there is an elevator.
- The customer can cancel the order up to 24 hours before pick-up without any charge by informing the ironing service in writing via email and receiving a confirmation.
- After the order has been picked up, cancellation is no longer possible.
- Spic&Span Strijkservice offers flexible subscription plans with various weight limits (5 kg, 7 kg, 11 kg). Additional kilograms will be charged separately.
- The subscription includes a limited number of shirts. Extra shirts will be charged separately.
- For special requests, a custom subscription can be arranged.
- Two ironing boxes will be provided with the subscription. If lost or damaged, the customer must cover the cost of the box (€10–€15). The boxes must be returned upon cancellation of the subscription.
- The subscription has a contract duration of 3 months with automatic renewal. After 3 months, the contract will be extended indefinitely.
- The trial period lasts 2 weeks. During this period, the subscription can be canceled with a recalculation. After the trial period, cancellation is not possible within 3 months.
- The contract is linked to a specific address, and multiple contracts at the same address are not allowed.
- Subscription payment is made in advance for 4 weeks.
- Free delivery is available within a 10 km radius of our location. For additional kilometers, a surcharge will apply.
- If changes or cancellations to delivery are needed, the customer must inform Strijkservice at least 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp. If there is no notification and a delivery is missed, an additional €5 will be charged.
- If delivery fails, the package can be picked up at our location. Redelivery is not possible.
- Delivery is only made to the front door on the ground floor. For apartments, delivery will be made to the front door if there is a lift.
- Going on vacation? Inform us at least 7 days in advance to avoid unnecessary visits. You can reschedule pickups 2 times a year (for bi-weekly subscriptions) or 4 times a year (for weekly subscriptions).
- In case of temporary absence, we can relocate the service to another address. Notify us 2 weeks in advance and provide the new address.
- The customer can cancel the contract with a 1-month notice before the end date.
- Spic&Span Strijkservice is committed to not disclosing the customer's personal information to third parties, except when required by law.
- The customer agrees that Spic&Span Strijkservice may use their contact details to inform them about new services, offers, and other business-related information.
- The company reserves the right to change the terms, rates, and delivery deadlines, with notification to the customer via email at least 2 months in advance. The current prices are always available on our website.
- The company is not responsible for delays or failure to meet obligations due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, interruptions or termination of deliveries, equipment malfunctions, problems with the delivery of detergents, strikes, pandemics, etc.
